About Los Angeles Ballet Academy

Los Angeles Ballet Academy was established in 1992 as Theatrics Dance Academy. In September of 2004 the school relocated to a 6500 square foot facility and was renamed the Los Angeles Ballet Academy. Los Angeles Ballet offers some of the finest dance instruction available in the San Fernando Valley. Andrea Paris, the studio's owner and director, holds the Royal Academy teacher's certificate and has assembled a team of teachers from as far away as South Africa, Australia and Japan as well as from here in the US who hold credentials in Checcetti and the Royal Academy as well as professional experience in all fields of dance. Many of our students have been at the Academy since pre-school and the discipline of dance, comradery and relationships that have grown between the teachers and each other create memories and friendships that they will cherish forever.
LABA Teachers and Staff 2007-08

Los Angeles Ballet Academy students have been awarded scholarships to programs such as the Royal Ballet School, American Ballet Theatre, American Academy of Ballet, Idyllwild Arts and The Harid Conservatory. They have taken top awards at the Youth America Grand Prix including Outstanding school in 2005, and have participated with much success in annual recitals, Community Performances and other local Dance Events.

Los Angeles Ballet Academy students have had the opportunity to perform with the American Ballet Theatre in the Nutcracker & La Corsaire, with the San Francisco Ballet in Cinderella, and The Royal Ballet in Cinderella. The opportunity for young dancers to participate in professional productions is always encouraged and can be a great source of inspiration.
Students who come to LABA can expect to improve their ballet technique with our Certified Teachers and unique training methods. Our Program is highly personalized and we offer Royal Academy of Dance Examination preparation as well as open level classes, pilates, repertoire, jazz, tap & hip hop. Our teacher's goal is to foster a love of ballet and positive self image in all students.

Mission: To foster the love ballet and a positive self image in young dancers. To provide dance education of the best possible caliber in a positive and caring environment.
