Born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Ms. Sales began her ballet training at the professional school of arts in Brazil. At the age of 13 she began her professional career at the Palacio Das Artes, Brasil, and continued her professional experience years later at the Stuttgart Ballet, Gelsekichen Ballet, and Ulmer Ballet Theater. She has performed main roles including ballets such as Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, Coppelia, Les Sylphides, and others. In 1988 she began her professional career as a Ballet Mistress working with Grupo Corpo and subsequently with Ballet Municipal de Sao Paulo, Brazil, Ulmer Ballet, Wiesbaden Ballet, Karlsruhe Ballet, Mannheim Theater and Stuttgart Ballet, Germany.

Ms. Sales was also invited to dance the main role in Les Sylphides which Mikhail Barishnikov participated in. Her recent professional endeavors include being invited to teach at the Broadway Dance Center in New York City and becoming Ballet Mistress of The Joffrey Ballet after 3 years of being Ballet Mistress at Luna Negra Dance Theater in Chicago.
