General Recital Information for Dancers:

Selected Academy Classes will each prepare a piece in the performance and all students are invited to participate. The ballet will only be performed at the evening shows. Intro to Dance, Pre Ballet/Tap and Hip Hop classes will perform on Saturday, June 14th at the 1:00 pm show only. Pre-primary Ballet, Primary Ballet & Pre Jazz/Tap will perform on Friday, June 13 and Saturday June 14th at 7:oo PM. All other participants will perform in all three performances. You must be available for ALL scheduled performances in order to participate. Please do not sign up if you child is not available for the allocated shows.

All students will receive a part in the ballet. Auditions will help with placing dancers in groups and casting any special roles.

Picture Days will be held at the studio on Sunday, June 1st ( Schedule will be in your recital packet).

Tec/Dress Rehearsals: There will be rehearsals at the studio for students on Saturday - May 24th, Saturday -May 31st, Thursday - June 5th, Friday-June 6th, Saturday-June 7th and Sunday June 8th. (times are TBA). Dress rehearsals are tentatively set for June 9th, June 10th & 11th. This is when students will practice on stage in costume, and lighting and sound cues will be set. This can be a long day for students who are in more than one number! Attendance at rehearsals and performances are mandatory for all participating students.

Curtain Times on the show day will be 1PM and 7 PM. Call time will be at least 30 minutes prior to that.

Recital Packets will be handed out in May along with all other information regarding call times, tickets, pictures, video, theatre rules, etc.

Your recital fee and costume fee cover your participation in the performance, your dress rehearsasl at the theater and your costume(s). Teachers hours, lighting, sound, props, front of house, backstage crew and security are some of the things that your recital fees cover. You must provide tights, shoes, makeup, personal items, tuition, classes and snacks. Costume Fees are Non-Refundable.

Tickets: You will be able to purchase up to 4 tickets with your recital signup for the show(s) of your choice. Seats will be issued based on the order recieved. All other tickets will be available for purchase on May 10 at the front desk for $22 each. Order early we do sell out! NO ONE will be permitted in the theater without a ticket.

Room Parents: Preschool and Kindergartners will have 2 parents per group, others will have 1. The amount of people permitted backstage is strictly limited by the Performing Arts Center. Parents must be able to leave their dancers backstage at performance time. If your preschooler cannot stay without you, or your older child cannot change costumes by themselves, please do not sign them up. Anyone who cannot follow the Studio or Theater rules will be asked to withdraw without a refund. For safety reasons no one without a pass will be permitted backstage.

Please keep this sheet FYI and turn in one sign up sheet for each number your child is in. Additional sheets are available at the desk. Help us to make sure you child has everything he or she needs, fill out all measurements, phone numbers and messages clearly and correctly.
