The Los Angeles Youth Ballet Theatre is a preprofessional student ensemble geared toward the classical and contemporary dancer. This is a concert group whose goal is to develop and support young talent in the San Fernando Valley, as well as bring classical ballet to the community. The Los Angeles Youth ballet along with its sister company Theatrics Dance Company, produces a story ballet at the Madrid Theater in Canoga Park each year which brings a wonderful children's tale to school children and the community. They also produce a Mixed Bill program in February and present many prominent professional dancers from the LA dance community alongside the Pre Professional students which offers a diverse and sophisticated evening of dance. The Youth Ballet Theatre also brings in guest teachers and provides master classes and guest choreographers to members and non-members. They raise money for a special scholarship fund which provides financial assistance to young talented dancers in the Los Angeles area to further their training.
